Large detached house. Late C18 with early C18 rear wing. Finely dressed millstone
grit with rusticated quoins. Stone slate roof with chamfered gable copings on carved
kneelers. Two ashlar gable stacks (one rendered), with rounded caps. Moulded eaves
cornice and string course. Two storeys. Five bays of single lights with raised
ashlar surround. Central 6 panel door with rectangular fanlight, frieze and cornice.
At 90°, to rear, is early C18 wing with hollow chamfered eaves cornice. Ashlar
gable stack. South elevation-has one 3-light double chamfered window, with mullions
removed, and entrance with deep, shaped lintel. To first floor is one 3-light and one
2-light double chamfered window. Possible further light covered by later main hall.
Later outshut extension to rear.
