Early C19. Terraced cottages. Nodular flint. Red brick dressings. (Front of
No 1 is rendered. End wall of No 5 is modern brick). Red brick extensions to
rear. Tiled gambrel roof (No 1 hipped). Red brick chimneys.
2 storeys, with attics. Modillioned eaves cornice. 1 window range and 1 door
per cottage. All windows segment-headed wooden casements with glazing bars, except
for ground floor window of No 1 which has diagonal leaded panes. All doors planked
(No 1 with latticed window inset). Attic dormers weatherboarded with wooden bargeboards
and casement windows (No 3's iron) with lead glazing bars (No 1's and No 5's diagonal).
Chimney of No 1 slightly off centre of ridge, square in plan, with axially placed
buttresses and no pots.
