Cottage (shown on O.S. map as Green Banks). C16-C17, outshot added, cottage extended one by east gable end and
refenestrated early-mid C19, C20 addition north-east corner. Render over random rubble, thatched roof hipped west gable
end, brick stacks centre right and east gable end. Plan: site drops away to west, 2-cell facing south, extended one bay
east end with staircase, outshot added, later one addition in north-west corner. Two storeys, 4 bays, irregular eaves
line, first floor left C20 window, 3-light casement, cast iron fixed light window, 2-light to right, ground floor C20
window left, 3-light leaded iron casement to left of recessed doorway, another entrance right to extension, leaded iron
casement beyond, 2-bay thatched verandah. Interior not seen: said to contain evidence of jointed cruck truss
construction, bread oven dated l856 beside open fireplace, straight stair rising in addition against stack wall, This
is thought to have been built as a 2-storey, 2-cell cottage with one room heated. (VAG Report, unpublished SRO, June
