GV II
Summer house and garden walls. Circa 1900. Random rubble local stole, quoins, flat Ham stone coping, summer house with
plain clay tile pyramid roof, over-hanging eaves and sprockets. Plan: walls abutting south-east corner of Chilworthy
House (q.v.) and continued east with break to summer house, returned to south with break; south wall of garden formed
from rear wall of stables (the stables themselves not of special interest). Walls on north side about one metre high,
swept up to almost the height on the summer house, circular unglazed opening in ashlar Ham stone surround. Walls swept
up again on east side with obelisk and hit and miss coping largely obscured by vegetation at time of survey (November
1985). Garden side of summer house with low walls flanking square oak piers supporting 3-sided roof of plain clay
tiles.
