House. Early C19, possibly incorporating part of earlier dwelling, east range added late C19, extended at rear mid C20
(not of special interest) and upper storey refenestrated. Render grooved as ashlar over random rubble exposed on left
return, some brick at rear, moulded cornice, slate roofs, coped verges, brick stacks left gable end, to left of
entrance and right gable end of original block. Plan: range at front linked to longer range at rear by staircase black.
Two storeys; 4:1 bays, end bay right gable fronted with stone mullioned 2-light sash windows, gabled tops to windows in
main block, all C20 metal 3-light with 2-light over entrance, ground floor right cruciform window with side-lights, two
12-pane sash windows left and one right of pilaster doorcase with panelled reveals, half glazed door and fan- light
with radiating bars. Single storey hipped roof cast-iron verandah with vine leaf motif and alliptical-headed bays of
irregular disposition; curved glass roof renewed with corrugated plastic sheeting. Left return: ground floor two
trefoil-headed 2-light windows; set back at rear half-hipped double-Roman tiled roof wing of one and a half storeys
with gabled dormers. Interior not seen. The disposition of the facade windows indicate that this is possibly refronted
3-cell and cross passage farmhouse. Walls, gatepiers and lamp overthrow. Early-mid C19. Ham stone, cast and wrought
iron. Railings set between piers with gatepiers on axis with entrance, stepped back and returned to south-east gable
end of house with gatepiers to stable yard adjoining. Ashlar piers with pyramid tops, moulded cornice and entablature:
triangular headed uprights with urn standards set in Ham stone ashlar wall. Elegant curved double overthrow supporting
empty circular lamp holder with coroneted top and crested base. C20 double gates not of special interest.
