Row of 3 adjoining farm cottages at the entrance to Fosters Farm. Probably
1840s. Flemish bond brick with blue headers to the ground floor, first floor
tile-hung; peg-tile roof; 2 brick stacks.
Plan: Single depth range, facing south west with 2 later rear outshuts. Each
cottage is probably one room on plan. Nos 1 and 2 share the left hand axial
stack, No 3 is served by an axial stack to right of centre.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 3 window front with irregularly-spaced
late C19 or C20 front doors and 3 first floor raking dormers. All the windows
on the front elevation preserve their attractive C19 3-light cast iron
casements with hexagonal panes. Gabled roof. The right return, facing the
road, has a similar first floor original window. The rear elevation is
weatherboarded to the first floor with C20 2-light first floor timber
casements.
Interior: Not inspected but may retain original joinery.
