Boundary wall. Early C19. Formerly the east boundary wall of the Lansdowne
Nursery Estate. Built for the Marquess of Lansdowne. Red brick with thin brick
tile copings with blue brick diaper in several of the bay panels. Wall build
off a slightly battered revetment to the east (road) side. Revetment in Flemish
bond capped by 3 courses of headers, garden wall bond above. A long section
in about 9 bays defined by projecting brick piers to the north of the former
portico entrance to the estate listed as No 94 (Nursery Garden Entrance and
Portico) (qv) and a short section to the south. Both sections have short returns
to the west at the north and south corners. Carriage gateway with brick piers
towards the north end. Listed only for group value with No 94 Greatbridge Road which
is part of the same construction.
