3/75 Whiteshill School
- II
School. 1910, probably by R Phillips, architect to the Gloucestershire
Education Committee. Rubble, bands of freestone, plain clay tile roofs.
East elevation: 2 storeys, kitchen, dining and ancillary below, a long range
of glazing bar sashes under swept eaves on brackets, a gable rises at left
then 2 gablets all in clasping pilasters, dormer off-centre left, large
paired stacks, doubled as bell-cote. West elevation: to left gabled parallel
range, an ashlar half glazed entrance below a framed hipped dormer, then
a 3-light gable as at east. Officially opened 11th January 1911. Mainly
in original state, a very good example of its period.
