Farm outbuilding, now garage and store. Late C17 or early C18 with C20 alterations.
Rubble lakeland stone, brought to courses, beneath a graduated Westmorland slate
roof covering. 5 bay plan with offshuts either side of original double doorway, now
with C20 garage door. Single storey with single bay loft at north end. Offshut to
north of doorway originally of 3 bays and with standings for cattle; north end wall
survives on line of main gable. Interior; 4 full cruck trusses survive with tie beams
carried into the side walls and the cruck blades cross-lapped and rice-halved at the
apex of the truss to provide a seating for a diagonally-set ridge purlin. Lapped single
purlin roof with curved wind braces.
