C18 facades to terrace of houses but some, if not all, of the houses are timber
framed, Red brick, the ground floors of nos 8, 10 and 11 stuccoed, Nos 1-4 (consec)
Nos 6 and 7 painted brick. Brick eaves cornices and tiled roofs. 2 storeys, attic
and basements, No 8 has a higher elevation than the other houses. 1 or 2 windows
each, mostly sashes, some casements, some glazing bars remain. Doorways, at the
head of a flight of stops, set in moulded, architrave surrounds with flat hoods
above. No 8 has hood on brackets and fanlight both probably inserted. Mostly
6 panel doors, though some panels now glazed.
The listed buildings on Nelson Place form group with Shipyard House and Nelson
Cottage, Bath Road and with Alma Cottage, Grove Road.
