SK 57 NE WORKSOP PARK STREET

Town house. c1760, additions 1847-8 and c1890. Built for the
Foljambe family. Red and white brick, colour-washed, with
slate and concrete tile roofs. 5 decorated brick stacks.
Street front, has blind gable wall to right. Central section,
3 storey, 3 windows, with first and second floor bands. 3
boarded ground floor windows with moulded stucco surrounds.
Above a central canted bay window, flanked by single windows
also with stucco. Above, again 3 smaller glazing bar sashes
with moulded stucco surrounds. Late C19 wing to left has 6
panel door with side lights and a boarded window, above 2
plain sashes.
Garden front has 2 storey 3 window late C19 wing to right. To
left a mid C18 L-plan wing, with first and second floor bands.
Ground floor has loggia with Doric piers and columns, now
filled. Above a single boarded window to each face and each
floor, all with moulded stucco surrounds.
Interior retains single flight and return staircase with 2
turned balusters per tread. Some shuttered sashes and mid C19
plasterwork.
