C16 or early C17, refaced early to mid C19, painted brick on left, roughcast on
right. Old tile roof continuing over carriageway on east. Two gables, two
storeys, central C18 4 fielded panel door with architrave and cornice hood,
right hand oriel shop window on two brackets, glazing bars. First floor jettied
above this with canted oriel window with pediment. 4 pane wide sash window in
reveals with cambered head on left, and similar window to first floor. Exposed
timber framing on east flank wall and a roof truss in the carriageway with curved
braces to the tie beam. Two storey rear wing partly timber framed, part colour-
washed brick, visible from Ward Place (q.v.).
