Pair of estate cottages, formerly one house. C17, reworked 1879 for
Shuttleworth Estate (plaque). Timber framed construction with colourwashed
roughcast render and applied timber frame decoration. Clay tile roofs with
decorative ridge tiles. 3-room plan block of 2 storeys and attics, with
various later additions to rear. Cottage ornee style. S elevation: 2 3-light
and one 4-light window to ground floor, 3 2-light windows to first floor, 3
gabled dormers with 2-light windows, all cast iron lattice casements. Tiled
gabled open porch with terracotta finial. Flush panel door in moulded
surround. 2 ridge stacks with variety of Tudor style embattled chimney pots.
