Wall gatepiers and gates by Vergil Anderton, a member of the
Oongregation.
Front wall of coursed, rock-faced sandstone under sandstone ashlar coping.
Gatepiers higher with gabled coping to sides and centre and, on each, a
panel with 3 sunk quatrefoils (as on church spire). Cast iron gates
ornately Gothic, with frieze of cusped triangles at bottom and middle with 3
diagonally set quatrefoils in circles between and 3 ogee arches with cusped
trefoils above. On each gatepier stands a damaged, somewhat florid cast
iron lampholder.
