4/221 Former Pike House
II
Small former pike house, now private house. Early C19. Random
coursed rubble stone with tooled stone rusticated and chamfered
alternating quoins, string course and embattled parapet. Roof not
visible nor any stacks. Square, with C20 brick lean-to at rear.
2 storeys. Single pointed arch opening centrally placed on each
floor on each side and front, all with dressed stone voussoirs and
enlarged keystone. Studded plank door on south side, remaining
openings are 2-light wood mullion windows with fixed light in
pointed arch, some windows still with original lattice work.
