Hall-house, now cottage. C16, extended in C18, with minor C19 or C20 alterations.
Large panel timber-framing, partly under built in brown brick on ground floor,
with some weather-boarding on first floor. Hipped thatched roof with ridge
stack to right. Irregular fenestration of 1 semi-dormer in centre with 2 windows
on ground floor below, all casements. Door in centre. Interior: Timber-frame
visible. Floor over hall and with central chamfered beam with run-out stops,
possibly inserted. Stair in service end of straight-flight type, possibly original.
Evidence of 5 original windows, two at service end retaining diagonal mullions.
Queen truss rafter roof, with raking queen trusses to west. See Report No 880,
