Late Cl8-early C19. 3 storey. Red brick. Flat moulded eaves. Hipped slate
roof. 4 square windows on 2nd floor. 2 windows on lst floor and angular bay
off centre with Doric pilaster frame and cornice. On ground floor 6-panel
doors in outer corners with architrave surround, angle blocks, frieze and cornice,
and one pilaster, framed window adjoining each door. Plain C19 shop window
under angular bay and arched passage, entry left hard of centre.
No 23. Cottage at back. 2 storey. Stucco with slate hung upper part and
slate roof, with 2 windows and 2 doors with 4-pane rectangular fanlights and
surrounds of narrow pilasters and cornice.
Nos 21 to 49 (odd), the School of Arts and Crafts, Nos 61, 63 & Nos 67 to 75
(odd) form a group.
