Farmhouse. Late C16-early C17, radically altered in late C19. Plastered cob and
rubble; rubble and brick stacks; slate roof. Long building facing south with 2
distinct parts; a large 3 room section to left with left-gable end stack, axial
stack right of centre and right end rear lateral stack and smaller and lower 1 room
plan block at right (east) end. Both 2 storeys. Larger section to right has
regular 3 window front or tall late C19 casements with large panes and glazing
bars; main door left of centre is 6-panel with overlight. 2 window front to
smaller block has smaller late C19 2-light casements and C20 door to left.
Interior largely late C19 but late C16 or early C17 4 panel ceiling of moulded
intersecting oak beams at right end. From left end of front a cob wall on rubble
footings with corrugated iron roof extends a short distance westward before
returning southwards along west side of front garden.
