School. 1889, possibly by J.R.Reeve the architect of St Mark's Church (q.v.). Polychrome brick with blue brick bands and diaper-work and stone copings, kneelers, keys, imposts and stoding to windows; crested plain tile roofs with brick stacks. T-plan with short outer rear wings to classroom blocks which flank central wing which is set at right angles and extends through to long assembly hall at rear. Gothic Revival style, with Domestic Revival details. One storey. Gabled entrance bay has moulded pointed-arched doorway set in segmental- arched architrave; 3-light window above with ovolu-moulded stone lintel set on chamfered brick mullions; doorway and window flanked by double-chamfered lancet windows; roof surmounted by louvred bellcote with tile spirelet. Classrooms each side have small gabled roof dormer with cusped tympanum to each outer bay and are dominated by tall half- hipped half-dormers each with 4 similar graduated lancets. Similar dormers and lancets to sides and rear. Rear wings linked by pentices with lean-to roofs set on timber posts. Interior not inspected. A fine and well detailed example.
