CLAMMER HILL (East Side)
Clammer Hill House and Clammer Hill Old Barn

(Formerly listed as Clammer Hill House and Little Clammer Hill)

3.12.53.

II

Clammer Hill House is a double-span house, front range of late C17, back range a little earlier with two northern bays still older. Entrance front of two storeys, five bays. Hipped tiled roof, deep moulded eaves cornice.

Fenestration much altered: early C19 sash windows with glazing bars in different openings. Red brick with diaper of blue headers (window infill of different brick). Traces of original rubbed brick arches. Added central pent porch. Two builds visible behind with chimney at junction.

Modern link to Clammer Hill Old Barn, former coachhouse. Large malmstone rubble below, timber framing above hidden by modern brick and timber cladding. Varied windows, mostly C19 casments; and carriage doors at front left with loading door over.
