C17, C18. A late C18 symmetrical pair, of 2 storeys, 4 windows. Red tile roof,
hipped, brick dentil eaves. Red brickwork (painted to No 51), Flemish bond,
rubbed flat arches to ground floor, plinth. Sashes in exposed frames, on the
ground-floor a modern bowed Georgian shop window (49), and a double sash to 51.
2 porches of identical design-of Greek style; 2 columns, 2 pilasters, panelled
soffit, stone steps: architrave surround to 6-panelled door. A brick on No 51
is incised E.P (Edward Parlet) 1780, indicating when the previous front was
replaced. There is a long 2-storeyed extension (of C17) to the rear of 51, with
exposed timber frame, bricknogged, red tile roof also casements. Rear extension
to 49 is C18, with casements.
