Dated 1699. Symmetrical (east) front of 2 storeys and attic, 5 windows. Hipped
tile roof, 3 small hipped dormers with casements, fully-moulded modillion
cornice. Walling in red brickwork in Flemish bond, with rubbed flat arches,
1st floor band, moulded plinth; in the upper walling flush blue header bricks
mark in large shapes the inscription 16 WB 99. Sashes in exposed frames. The
doorway has a moulded pediment on bold curved brackets, above a solid door frame
which encloses a 3-light plain fanlight, later double doors, above a flight of
stone steps. The design is returned at each end, with lower wings projecting
westwards expressed in less formal vernacular style.
