GV II

Stable block and carriage house. Mid to late C18. Squared and
coursed stonework, hipped slate roof. A long low building with
central gabled section slightly brought forward. One storey
with loft; a wide central arched opening with voussoirs,
central key, and impost blocks, containing plank doors and
tympanum. To each side is a smaller pair of plank doors to
wood lintels, each flanked by plain glass openings, formerly
with sashes, in raised plat band surrounds with key. The plain
back wall has one casement.
INTERIOR: retains the upper loft flooring on heavy beams,
simple wood winder stairs, and matchboard partitions, but the
stable divisions have gone.
