Pair of attached police houses. Dated 1869. Built by the Bedford Estate. Stone rubble with granite dressings. Slate roofs with gabled ends. Stone axial and gable-end stacks with set-offs and moulded caps.
PLAN: L-shaped on plan with cross-wing on right [N] extending to rear.
Tudor style.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 3-window SE front with slightly advanced gabled bay on right and small gables over centre and left bays; windows have chamfered granite frames and casements with glazing bars; right-hand gable has tablet inscribed 1869 with letter B and coronet above. Rear facing police station, wing on left rendered on first floor.
INTERIOR not inspected.
NOTE: Built by the 7th Duke of Bedford to serve the adjacent police station.
