Arched folly in the garden of The
Limes

Folly. Early C19, installed 1860s. Stone. An arcade of three
arches finely carved with rosettes and other details. Part of
the stone screen by John Carline, removed from the Church of
St Mary Magdalene (qv), and then installed in his garden by
the architect Samuel Pountney Smith, the owner and builder of
The Limes (qv).
