Boots chemist shop, now restaurant. 1905, with late C20
alterations. Brick with glazed terracotta front and dressings
and gabled and hipped slate roof with coped gable and single
gable stack. Renaissance Revival style.
EXTERIOR: pierced balustrade with pedestals and finials. Upper
floors divided by panelled pilasters and horizontal band with
wreaths. 3 storeys plus attics; 4 x 4 windows. Corner site
with rounded corner. Entrance bay has a 3-light mullioned
window with cornice and finials, and above, a smaller 3-light
window with cornice and scroll pediment. Below, splayed recess
with renewed door.
Attercliffe Common front, to right, has on the first floor 4
elliptical arched 3-light cross casements and above, four
2-light mullioned plain sashes with cornices. Above again, a
large central dormer with flanking pedestals and a small
2-light mullioned window under a broken segmental pediment
with finial. Worksop Road front, to left, has similar
fenestration, minus the dormer.
Ground floor has continuous corniced fascia with scroll
brackets. Flanking the entrance, a 2-light shop window to
right, and a similar 5-light window to left. Beyond, to right,
a doorway flanked by renewed single pane windows. To left, an
entrance bay flanked by pilasters, with a door and overlight.
