House, now in use as shops and offices. Late C17. Painted
brick with plain tiled hipped roof. 2 storeys with attic
dormers. 5-window range, divided into bays by shallow brick
pilasters 1-3-1. Three inserted shop fronts to ground floor
and central doorway giving access to upper storey. 2-pane sash
windows above. Heavy moulded brick sill band. Oversailing
eaves. 2 rear wall stacks. Said to have been built by the
architect James Mason, together with No.25 Claremont Hill
(qv).
