GV II

Gardener's cottage, now house, and attached outbuildings. Late
C18 and mid C19, with late C20 alterations. Brick with
concrete tile roofs.
Cottage has hipped roofs and brick side wall and rear wall
stacks. 2 storeys; 3 window range. L-plan. Windows are
casements with pointed arched brick heads and Gothick glazing
bars. Central doorway with similar head and overlight, and
fielded 6-panel door. On each side, single windows. Above, 3
smaller windows. Right return, to east, has 2 windows on each
floor, the ground floor windows reglazed.
Beyond, to right, 2 ranges of outbuildings, single storey,
with irregular fenestration, mainly late C20. The range
nearest the cottage has a Westmorland slate and plain tile
roof. The range to right, C18, has coped gables.
