2 shops with accommodation above. Early to mid C19. Roughcast
with slate roof (which is hipped at the right).
3 storeys. Each shop of one bay. The windows to the upper
storeys have narrow painted surrounds with projecting sills.
They are sashed without glazing bars except for the 1st-floor
window of No.19 (at the right), which is a C20 casement. The
ground floor of No.17 is occupied by a C19 shop front with 3
pilasters, and a timber fascia and cornice. No.19 has a C20
shop front, which continues on the right-hand return wall
facing Theatre Street and has a doorway across the corner
angle. The bay facing Theatre Street has blind recesses on the
1st and 2nd floors. No.19 is included for group value only.
