Formerly known as: Nos.78 AND 80 SOUTERGATE.
House. C17 origins, altered in early to mid C19. Painted
roughcast with slate roof. 2 storeys. 4 irregular bays. The
windows are sashed without glazing bars in painted stone
surrounds with projecting sills. The left-hand ground-floor
window is offset towards the left, the right-hand bay is blank
on the ground floor, and the 2nd bay contains a door with
plain stone surround to the right of the window. Between the
1st and 2nd bays a brick chimney rises from the front wall. To
the right of the 2nd bay there is a chimney on the ridge.
INTERIOR: not fully inspected. The left-hand room on the
ground floor contains a chamfered main ceiling beam, and a
stone fireplace with an iron range.
