Formerly known as: Nos.2 AND 4 BEACON STREET.
Pair of houses. Early to mid C19. Stucco on rubble to front;
slatehanging to rear; asbestos slate hipped roof; brick
stacks. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys over basement; 1:3:1
fenestration to 5-bay front. Mid-floor and 1st-floor strings
moulded parapet cornice and central 3 bays broken forward with
hoods on consoles and segmental pediments to windows over
doorways. Original 12-pane hornless sashes. Fine original
glazed porches to 2nd and 4th bays with end consoles moulded
cornices and patterned overlights, also to sides. Rear has
original fenestration to upper floors except for stair bay of
No.2; round-arched upper stair window to No.1; other bays
canted. INTERIOR not inspected but likely to be of interest.
