Public house. C17 or C18, remodelled and extended in mid C19.
Incised stucco with quoin strips, moulded parapet cornice;
steep scantle slate roofs to front range and porch with many
original crested clay ridge tiles; 2 stuccoed stacks on the
left. Deep plan with pair of rear wings. 3 storeys; 3:1-window
range including 3-storey porch on the right. Late C19 horned
sashes to upper floors including 1st-floor oriel with moulded
cornice to left-hand return (wing). Ground floor has 2 C18 or
early C19 tripartite hornless sashes with glazing bars removed
and quadrant porch with panelled pilasters; panelled door.
INTERIOR: C19 joinery to ground floor; earlier features not
noted but may survive on upper floors.
