GV II

House. c1830, extended c1840. Painted brick, roof of
corrugated concrete tiles.
EXTERIOR: 2-storey 3-bay house with taller 2-storey 2-window
extension to right. Original house has central door set within
a stuccoed doorcase under a modest hood on consoles. One 8/8
unhorned sash right, and two similar sashes to first floor,
all under segmental heads. No openings left of doorway.
Extension with one 8/8 unhorned sash to each floor in left bay
under segmental heads, and one 4/4 horned sash to each floor
right of these. Both parts have a dentil eaves cornice.
Extension has 2 ridge stacks.
Left return with a tripartite ground-floor unhorned sash
arranged 1/1, 2/2, 1/1. First floor with a canted bay window
fitted with a late C20 French door opening onto timber
balcony. Hipped asbestos slate bay-window roof. Bargeboards to
main gable.
