Pair of houses, now one. Early C19, probably a remodelling of
an earlier house. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar
dressings, brick gable stacks and stone slate roof with slate
to the rear. Single-depth plan.
Each of 2 storeys; 1-window range. The former No.66 has a
central doorway with timber lintel inserted beside the former
segmental-arched window now blocked with ashlar, former No.68
has a rear entrance approached by a through-passage to the
right, a rubble plinth exposed by the falling ground, and
quoins of an earlier house up to the first floor; squared
rubble between the first-floor window heads and the eaves from
a raised roof, a small segmental-arched ground-floor casement
to No.68 and first-floor inserted late C19 casements with
brick jambs.
The rear has two C20 dormers, a left of centre doorway and C20
extension to the right.
INTERIOR: details of No.68 include chamfered beams and a rear
