House. Early C19. Roughcast with panelled pilasters,
shallow-pitched hipped slate roof with rendered stacks to returns and rear. Double-depth plan, long single-storey service wing with a tall brick stack, to the rear of the right return.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys; symmetrical 3-window range. Tuscan prostyle porch, now glazed in with roof in poor condition, over an early C19 doorcase with pilasters, entablature and overlight with paired crossed glazing bars over a late C19 half-glazed 4-panel door flanked by single-storey hipped roofed canted bays with plate-glass sash windows. Various C19 and C20 windows to the returns. INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: a painted rendered rubblestone wall approx 3m high is attached to the front right corner, it extends forward for approx 10m, sweeps down to approx 2m high and turns to the right where it curves back for approx 20m to meet a wall of similar height projecting approx 20m from the rear. To the right of the front angle is a4-panel door. A similar wall is attached to the left front corner which steps forward and down to start a fronting wall approx 1m high and 18m long with pairs of gate piers at each end. These have semicircular-arched textured flush panels to each side and pyramidal caps.
