House, now with ground floor shop and offices above. C17,
altered C18, shop created C19, timber-framed, stuccoed, old
tiled roof and tall yellow grey gault brick chimneystack at
extreme left front. 2-bay, 2-cell plan.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys and attics; first floor has flush-set
12-pane sash window at left and triple-light 4:12:4-pane sash
window at right; second floor has three 12-pane sash windows.
Cavetto moulded wood cornice at first-floor level, with modern
shopfronts beneath, with return along right-hand (west) flank
facing Honey Lane, and blank plastered elevation and gable
above. Roof with 2 gabled casement dormers.
INTERIOR: ground floor gutted for shop; first floor access
from street door at left to tight newel and winder staircase
in rear left (south-east) corner, 2 rooms on each upper floor,
first-floor right-hand room has C18 panelling with quadrant
moulding, moulded dado rail and panelled dado and C19 black
marble fireplace surround with cast-iron arched grate;
second-floor right-hand room has C18 wood cornice and exposed
studwork; no access to roof structure within which are attics.
