Cottage. Circa early C19. Whitewashed stone rubble. Clay pantile roof with gable ends. Red brick gable-end stack. PLAN: Small 1-room plan 'cottage with gable-end stack on left, direct entry through front doorway on right and ladder stair on right to unheated chamber above. EXTERIOR: 1-storey and attic. 1-window south front with 3-light casement on left and doorway on right with plank door, both with cambered brick arches. Attic window in right [east] gable, boarded over. The back [north] wall is blind. INTERIOR: Ground floor room has expose d joists, blocked fireplace with wooden moulded chimneypiece and birds-nest grate and simple ladder staircase, the sides panelled. The chamber above is ceiled, but has no fireplace.
