GV II
Weighbridge house and weighbridge. Circa mid C19. Red and burnt brick in Flemish bond with dressed limestone quoins. Welsh slate hipped roof with alternate courses of shaped slates. Brick lateral stack on SW side, its stone shaft truncated. Small single-cell rectangular building with doorway on SE, fireplace on SW side and window to weighbridge on north east side. The SE side has central doorway with plank door with small rectangular overlight. The NE side has 2-light window with stone frame and is blocked in brick. The window looks out onto the weighbridge with its cast-iron platform inscribed 'BARTLETT AND SON, BRISTOL, TO WEIGH 6 TONS'. The platform is over a pit and connected to a balance, in the weighbridge house, complete with weights. The room is ceiled and has a small fireplace with a simple wooden chimneypiece.
