Farmhouse. Circa mid C17 , extended in C18 and remodelled and extended again in circa mid C19; partly demolished in C20. Rendered cob and stone rubble and brick and stone rubble rear wing. Thatched roofs with gabled ends. Gable-end stacks with brick shafts. PLAN : Main front range has 2-room plan with gable-end stacks and wide cross-passage-like entrance/ stair hall; the kitchen wing behind the right-hand room was demolished in the C20. In about the C18 a wing was built behind the left room which was extended probably circa mid C19 when the house was remodelled. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. Nearly symmetrical3-window north west front, the right-hand bay breaks forward slightly; C19 3-light casements with horizontal glazing bars; central doorway with flush-panel door and wooden lattice porch with tented canopy. At rear, casement windows and doorway on right. South west side of rear wing has Flemish bond brick wall and casement widows; extended on right [SE] in stone rubble; north east side of rear wing is stone rubble and has two small blocked openings, possibly vents, under eaves. INTERIOR: Circa mid C19 joinery including fielded-panel doors and window shutters and staircase with column newel and stick balusters. Rear wing has chamfered cross-beams with run-out stops and on first floor a circa late C17 plank door, not in situ, with geometric design inscribed on one side. C17 roof of main front range has trusses with halved and lapped dovetail jointed collars, trenched purlins and diagonally-set ridge-piece.
