Road bridge over canal. c1770-73 when this section of the canal was constructed. James Brindley/John Longbotham, engineers. Coursed dressed stone which is rock-faced beneath parapet level. Single semi-elliptical span with towpath. Swept wings terminating in piers.
Hammer dressed voussoirs and arch soffits. Squared string course and squared coping with slight ridge.
