Barn. Probably C18. Weatherboarded timber frame and brick plinth and with some brick infilling. Slate roof with gabled and half-hipped ends. PLAN: 6-bay barn with threshing floor in bay four with midstreys on either side. EXTERIOR: west front has gabled midstrey to right of centre. East front has hipped midstrey to left of centre and exposed timber-framing to lower parts of the walls with brick infilling. INTERIOR: jowled wall-posts with short straight braces to tie-beam trusses.2 tiers of purlins, the lower purlins square-set and tenoned to the principals with short braced posts below; the upper purlins clasped by high collars; common-rafters complete and with ridge-board; some of the wall-framing studs and rails have been replaced.
