Combined barn and watermill. Barn probably Latc: C18, watermull inserted into western end during
early C19. Timberframe and weatherboarding on brick ground floor, with brick outshuts to east and north sides. Roof partly slate, partly synthetic tiles. Heavy timber frame with two sets of purlins (queen struts to lower purlins) and straight braces. The wheel-pit is at ground level, fom1ed by an internal brick wall the full height of the plinth. Small rear gable over the wheel pit. Loading door and bricked-up culvert visible on south elevation together with windows with wooden surrounds and brick diagonal buttresses. Some machinery survives, together with trap-doors, ladders and grain
bins.
