GV II

House. Early C18. Painted limestone ashlar, steeply-pitched
hipped stone slate roof, moulded cornice to lateral ashlar
stack to main block. Double-depth plan, sharply canted back to
the right; the rear block probably later.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys; symmetrical 5-window range with narrow
windows to the canted right return. C19 6-over-6-pane sash
windows to the 2nd floor, 6/1-pane sashes to the 1st floor,
those to the centre are blind. Returned moulded eaves cornice
behind wrought-iron brackets to gutter, continuous sill bands
to upper floors, C20 shop to ground floor. Paired ogee-moulded
stone-mullioned windows to rear.
INTERIOR: C18 panelled doors, C19 quarter-turn stair with
winders and C18 2-bay roof with butt purlins and hip to
left-hand bay.
