Rectory, now sheltered housing. Mid C19. Probably by Sir Giles
Gilbert Scott. Squared limestone rubble with freestone plinth,
rusticated quoins, copings and moulded kneelers, architraves
and flush sill bands; slate roof with ashlar stack to left
gable end. Gothic Revival style. L-shaped plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with attic; 5-window range. Rubblestone
relieving arches over flush freestone rusticated window
surrounds; shouldered arches to each light of most windows;
plate-glass sashes. The range to the right, gabled to front
and rear, forms the right rear wing, it has a single-light
attic window to the gable, a 2-light window to the 1st floor
and a 2-light transomed window to the ground floor. 2 gabled
half dormers in the main block have 2-light windows at eaves
level with a small flat-arched sash window to the right of
each.
To the far left is a single-storey lean-to with a small
single-light shouldered-arched window; 3 single-light
mullioned windows to the ground floor of the main block; to
the inside-right is a pointed-arched entrance to a large
gabled porch with moulded kneelers to the coping. C20
extensions to rear and right.
INTERIOR: not inspected but noted as being altered.
