House. C17, refronted early C19. Limestone ashlar facade,
rubblestone rear; stone slate roof, double-pitched and hipped
to the rear wing, stone stack with brick shaft to rear right.
4-unit plan with rear wing.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 4-window range. Parapet, cornice, lintel
and sill bands, though ground-floor sills are now at street
level since the road has been raised. Moulded architraves to
early/mid C18 6/6-pane sashes with thick glazing bars to 1st
floor and late C20 replacements to ground floor; that to the
far right over the door is more widely spaced, implying that
the original door was inside-right leaving a service room to
the far right. A shallow hood on moulded stone brackets is
over a C19 door with 3 tall panels over 3 short ones. To the
rear are 2- and 3-light windows with cyma-moulded mullions.
INTERIOR: not inspected but likely to be of interest.
