House, now public house. Early-mid C17, altered C18 and mid
C20. Timber-framed, weatherboarded with central axial stack
and slate half-hipped mansard roof.
PLAN: possibly a former lobby entry 2-room parallel plan, with
a rear C20 range.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attic; 2:1-window range. A continuous
first-floor jetty with fascia over the short rafters, pair of
C19 right-hand half-glazed doors, ground-floor C20 casements
and first-floor plate-glass sashes in exposed frames; large
central gabled dormer with three 6-pane casements and curved
barge boards.
INTERIOR: has a left-hand room with large fireplace and
drop-chamfered lateral and axial beams, right-hand C20 bar;
rear wall opened to rear extension. Roof not seen.
