Late C16 4 storey timber-framed house. Ground floor of stone and red brick with
5-light oak mullioned window, now blocked. 1st floor has two splayed oriels on
brackets. Top floor has two gabled half-dormers. All the windows are leaded lattice
casements. 1st floor has very good C17 cut slate-hanging. There are three heraldic
features enclosed in wreaths. These include a Tudor Rose and possibly the arms
of the Tubervilles. It has been suggested that the house was built by Thomas Tuberville.
Bailiff of Exeter 1578. Slate roof. The whole restored 1964-8.
