Early C14 timber framed crosswing, with modern extensions to east and west.
Two storeys, jettied and gable fronted with red plain tile roof. Modern casement
windows. Internally the original frame is complete, except for partition between
buttery and pantry which has been removed. Heavy flat section floor joists.
Arched wall bracing. Jowled storey posts. Roof is short 2 armed crown post,
with arch braced and chamfered, cambered tie beam. Top plate scarfs are simple
splayed with under squinted abuttments. (RCHM 3).
