The Ship Inn
GV II

Inn. Early/mid C19 refronting of earlier building. Flemish band yellow brick;
old plain tile roof, gabled to left and hipped to right; brick ridge and left
end stacks. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys; 8-window range, broken to centre by
rounded bay which links recessed 4-window range to right and slightly-projecting
4-window range to left. Blocked doorways set in moulded wood architraves to
left and centre; double-entry to right, keyed flat stone arches over sash
windows, boarded over at time of survey. Raised stone storey band and raised
stone cornice beneath Stone-coped parapet. Interior inspection not possible
but likely to be of interest. Included for group value.
