House and workshop and furniture store. Late C17 details in west gable,
early C19 fenestration to street elevation. Rubble west gable, rendered
facade, Welsh blue-slate roof. Irregular plan. 2 storeys. 4 first-floor
windows, that to left above passage. Plinth. From left: doorway with
multi-pane sash window above; 4-pane sash in flush wood architrave with
same above; doorway with overlight; C19 shop front with 4 arched windows
and double-door to left with corner pilasters, entablature and cornice;
sash window above. Coped gables. Brick ridge stack and external ashlar
stack partly obscured by linking bay to No 22 (q.v.) open to ground floor
with 1st-floor room with tunnel under to rear courtyard. Left-hand return
has truncated stack, corbelled from 1st-floor, to left of 2-light double-
chamfered mullioned window (blocked).
Interior: the 1st cell is open to the roof and was reputedly a chapel used
for non-conformist worship, the room being lit by the large sash window
immediately above the door.
